Lacoste: Assistant Manager (fixed term contract)

We are recruiting for an Assistant Manager on a 12 month fixed term contract (maternity cover).

Responsibilities

  • To ensure the growth of profitable sales by achieving and exceeding set financial targets and KPI's
  • To lead, develop and manage an outstanding team who consistently deliver an exceptional customer experience
  • To be responsible for the efficient overall running and operation of the store
  • To be an ambassador of the brand and key corporate values at all times

Main Activities

Business Management

  • Assist the store manager in the analysis of KPI's
  • Assist the store manager in the communication of the taregts and goals to the team
  • Take measures to achieve the set targets on a regular basis
  • Ensure profitable growth

People Management

  • Coach and train the staff on the Lacoste sales steps, and the customer experience
  • Measures and follows up progress
  • Spreads the company cultures and values
  • Helps the store manager to recruit the best people in the retail market for our business and being strongly involved on integration
  • Is responsible for the induction and training of newcomers
  • Detects and follows up potential people for the company
  • Acts with courageous management skills and assists the store manager to treat conflicts (collective & individual)

Customer Service Management

  • Achieving the best possible customer service by respecting the company policy and understanding customer profile/habits
  • Ensure proactive customer service and selling attitude with each team member (additional sales...)
  • Ensure a growing number of visitors join the loyalty program (CRM)
  • Accurate handling of customer complaints as per company guidelines
  • Bring new ideas into the company, being proactive

Merchandising

  • Ensures a perfect and sales orientated product presentation in cooperation with the VM department
  • Analysis of top sellers and taking measures to maximise on opportunities with these product lines (stock, visual, merchandising)
  • Ensure proper sales floor standards (cleaning, lighting, tidiness)

Operation Management (Back Office)

  • Assists the store manager to ensure an effective planning and organisation of the daily operations to improve sales and productivity
  • Is responsible for Loss Prevention through attentive customer apparoach and annual inventory
  • Ensures accurate handling of cash handling procedures

Qualifications

Background and Business Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years successful experience as an Assistant Store Manager
  • Able to read, understand and communicate financial results and KPI's
  • Customer service, product and sales oriented
  • Handling basic figures analysis
  • Accountability
  • People development (recruiting, evaluating, training, coaching)

Hours: 39 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7.  Contract will include weekends and bank holidays
